Jenna Bauer is a painter, musician, teaching-artist and social sculptor.

She received her Bachelors of Fine Art in Painting from Webster University 2000 and established the South City Open Studio and Gallery for Children in 2002, now “Artscope STL”.

Through visual art and music, Bauer pays homage to celebrated moments in history and leans into the development of education to impact the future. She currently operates an art-educational and painting studio in the West Bottoms of Kansas City.

Her visual art work is a departure from landscape with an acute focus on color, gesture and process. She found her muse within the 1850s era paintings of the Hudson River School then pursued painting plein air and abstractly in Upstate New York’s Hudson River Valley between 2009-2013.  During this time she commuted between upstate and Hell’s Kitchen NYC while she earned her Masters in Painting from Hunter College in 2013.
